RE: First Time Buyer...Updated 03/06/2006

We ordered our new motorhome in '08 after more than a year of research. After you determine your needs #1 is customer support! The dealer can only do so much than #1 priority is the manufacturer. Go to the factory, call customer service and you will find out who is the best to meet your needs.

RE: Direct TV and KVH

Did you call DirecTV or KVH?
Direct TV moved most HD programming to SAT 103, which is not supported by KingDome. However if you use DISH you will get all the HD broadcast.
The other option is is change to KLH.
When I got my '08 MH King Dome was OK with Direct TV. Because it was Direct TV that made the switch I ask them to let me out of my contract. The answer is either go to KLH or to bad.

RE: Monaco update

We've never had a problem getting warranty repairs at any Tiffin dealers. Our HWH jacks stopped working, we were referred to the closest dealer. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty circuit board. Tiffin sent the part overnight. The dealer replaced and adjusted and we were on our way.
On another occasion our A&E awning broke, Tiffin sent a new awning to the nearest Tiffin dealer for replacement.
I guess they could have said go to HWH or A&E.
The dealers have always taken of us as if we bought from them.

RE: Mileage on Diesel pushers

The salesman is stretching the truth, We have a 40' Allegro Bus with 425 HP towing 4500 lbs. We are averaging 8mpg. That includes all types of terrain. We usually drive between 58 to 65 mph. Remember this is average.

Tiffin Motorhomes

Everybody would agree if everything was equal the tie breaker would be customer service. In that department Tiffin is the winner.
Before buying I spent more than a year looking at pushers. I found Tiffin to be far ahead of competition in all price/features in all price ranges.
While they use outside vendors for appliances, awnings, furniture,tv's etc. they make;
Outside walls, end caps, roof, glass windows, windshield, doors, cabinets and even offer their own chassis for several models.
If you have a problem while traveling and know dealers are within reasonable distance Tiffin will help find somebody who can.
A trip to Red Bay isn't necessary, but worth the time.
